Additional rescue forces have been summoned to the Krasnodar Territory /south/ to liquidate the consequences of the flood. According to the press service of the southern regional department of the Emergencies Ministry, the situation in the region has stabilised. The water level of the Kuban and Protoka rivers which earlier overflowed their banks due to the abundant snow melting is currently much lower than the critical mark. Rescuers are continuing to restore the scours in the dams. As many as 630 evacuated people have returned to their homes. However, the situation may worsen due to the expected thaw, and rescuers are bracing themselves for it.
