Strommashina Works To Make New Refuellers For Defense Ministry

The Strommashina (Chelyabinsk) works is planning to manufacture two TZ-22-44202 refuellers in 2002 that have been ordered by the Ministry of Defense. One such machine costs around $115,000, according to the company managemnet. The manufacturing time is 3-4 months. The TZ-22-44202 model has no rivals in Russia, the company said. The machine is equipped with different blocking systems, a "Dead operator" among them, which provides proper safety of the refuelling process. The model has a Compliance Certificate that allows it to be applied to all kinds of civil aircraft. The works is currently engaged in assembling two machines for civil airports. The market potential for the TZ-22-44202 model is enormous, according to the company management. According to the experts, for just Russian civil aviation, around 3,000 technically and morally outdated TZ-22 refuellers are still being operated.
