Kasyanov Comments On Defense Order For 2002

Prime Minister Mikhail Kasyanov commented on the state defense order at the opening of a government meeting today. He announced that the defense order was being formed according to decisions of the Russian President made after talks on the program of upgrading Russia's armed forces in the next ten years. Kasyanov stressed that while elaborating on the state defense order it is important to correspond it to the general strategy for the armed forces. In addition, the Prime Minister urged to coordinate the work of the defense industry and the financing of some projects.
