In Moscow, trial on Anatoli Bykov to start. At first “Pasha Colour Music” to be heard

Today, in Moscow the trial on Krasnoyarsk businessman, ex-chairman of Krasnoyarsk aluminium work’ administration, Anatoli Bykov. The Public Prosecutors’ Office of Northwest Administrative District accuses Bykov of preparing murder of another Krasnoyarsk businessman – Vilor Struganov, nicknamed “Pasha Colour Music.” According to information agencies, Struganov has been already transported to Moscow prison, where he will participate in the trial as the main victim and as the witness. Remember, that at the end of January, the trial was postponed. The reason was that Struganov was absent. While Pasha Colour Music is under examination: he is accused of organizing an explosion. While the main witness of Bykov’s case, a certain Alexandr Vasilenko, during the preliminary investigation refused from his evidence about Bykov having ordered him to kill Pasha Colour Music. Vasilenko, who is now in Cyprus, handed over a video cassette where he was declaring that was Struganov himself who had demanded to charge Bykov. For the time being, the court is refusing to add the cassette to the case’s materials. Federal judge Vladimir Nikitin explains that in this way Vilor Struganov’s rights would be violated. Though Vasilenko is sure of the opposite. So, he started to appeal to the State Duma’s deputies, in particular – to LDPR faction. Last week, deputies Vladislav Demin and Yegor Solomatin met with Vasilenko according to his ask, in Russian embassy to Cyprus. Then, on January 31, Demin presented to the public Vasilenko’s position. Vasilenko will not come to Moscow to give evidence, for he is afraid of the arrest. At the same time, he decided to change his evidence, because he is afraid of everything to become clear during the trial, so Vasilenko will be accused of false evidence. Though he preferred to keep silence because he was being intimidated by Struganov, including Struganov’s connection with law-enforcement bodies and State Duma deputies. According to LDPR faction’s deputy Demin, Struganov either fluffs or executes somebody’s will, though Vasilenko does not have such influence in the State Duma.
