Russian President Vladimir Putin and Moscow Mayor Yuri Luzhkov on Wednesday took part in the inauguration of a new, ten-kilometre-long section of Moscow's third transport ring, which has connected the Gagarin Square and the Volgogradsky Avenue. The president congratulated construction workers who had built the road on its opening for traffic. Luzhkov told Putin about earlier-built sections of the road and those yet to be built. The president was presented with a badge made to mark the road's construction.
