Russian President Vladimir Putin and Moscow Mayor Yury Luzhkov attended, Wednesday, a ceremony of unveiling Moscow's new subway station, Annino. This is the 63-rd station of the Moscow subway. The president and the mayor took a tour of the station and studied further metro construction plans, including those related to "light metro". They came down to the platform to examine a new generation train, Yauza, named after a river running in Moscow. Several Yauza trains have been operating in the Moscow metro for some time. Messrs. Putin and Luzhkov met the workers who have built the station congratulating them on Constitution Day and the completion of the construction. "I thank you, the mayor thanks you, but the warmest thanks will by all means come from passengers," said Vladimir Putin.
