The State Duma has sent a letter to Prime Minister Mikhail Kasyanov asking him to take urgent measures to solve problems connected with licensing audit activities. Deputies are concerned about the present situation with audit licensing and especially with licensing auditing of banks. The letter says that the Central Bank has actually stopped issuing licenses for banking audits. As a result, audit organizations and private auditors were deprived of their right to receive such licenses. This letter to the Prime Minister was supported by 335 deputies with no abstentions and no opponents.
