Russian Pm To Meet Representatives Of Major Oil Companies

On December 5, at 11:00 a.m., Moscow time, Prime Minister of Russia Mikhail Kasyanov will meet representatives of major Russian oil companies. Heads of 8-9 companies are expected to take part in the meeting. During the meeting, a joint policy of the Russian government and oilmen will be coordinated for early 2002 with regard to changes, which have taken place in the world oil markets. The previous meeting between Kasyanov and oilmen was held on November 23. The meeting passed a decision to cut oil exports by Russian companies by 50,000 barrels per day in the fourth quarter of 2001.
