Vladimir Rushailo On Progress Of Operations To Track Down Chechen Militant Leaders

Secretary of Russia's Security Council Vladimir Rushailo thinks "a lot has been done" to solve the problem of tracking down and destroying Chechen militant leaders. Although the task is not an easy one and requires much time and effort, law enforcers have recently carried out "a series of successful special operations to track down and capture militants leaders and mercenaries," Rushailo told a Friday press conference in Minsk. "The Russian president assigns power structures the task of taking militant leaders to court or destroying them," he stressed. "This task is still in force and power structures are still fulfilling it."
