The volume of the Russian market of media advertising might grow by 35-38 percent to $2.7bn in 2003, Deputy Media Ministry Mikhail Seslavinsky declared at today's meeting of the ministry's board. According to him, last year the advertising market amounted to $1.99bn.
According to estimations of the Russian association of advertising agents, in 2002 the share of TV advertising in the structure of the Russian advertising market was 45 percent, the share of radio advertising was 5 percent, newspaper 19 percent and magazine 11 percent.
Last year, the Media Ministry registered 7,477 new mass media sources.
