The first Caspian summit on banks, finances and investments with the participation of CIS representatives will take place in Istanbul on March 19-20. The summit will be opened by Turkish Finance Minister Kemal Unakitan.
According to the organising committee, the aim of the summit is to contribute to the development of the banking and financial spheres of the economy in Turkey and in the countries of the Caspian and Central Asian regions. One of the most important tasks of the forum is to help attracting investments into the banking sector of the economy of the Caspian countries.
A mini-exhibition devoted to up-to-date banking technologies will be held in the context of the summit.
The summit will be attended by the heads of national banks and Finance Ministers of Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kirghizia, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkey, Uzbekistan and Ukraine.
