Increase in Russia's Foreign Trade Turnover in January 2003

According to the latest estimates of the Russian Central Bank, Russia's total foreign trade turnover in January 2003 made $13 bln 974 mln. This is $3 bln 637 mln more than in January 2002.

Moreover, the Russian Central Bank reported Russia's total export made $9 bln 450 mln in January 2003, i.e. $2 bln 795 mln more that in January 2002.

Russia's total import was $4 bln 524 mln in January 2003, i.e. $842 mln more than in the same period in 2002.

Russia's foreign trade surplus was $4 bln 926 mln in January 2003 while in January 2002 it was $2 bln 973 mln.
