Finance Minister makes inflation forecast

Russia's inflation rate could be close to 12 percent by the end of this year, Finance Minister Alexey Kudrin told journalists today. He commented on the 4.1-percent inflation in Russia in January and February of 2003 and noted that this inflation rate was due to seasonal fluctuations. He believes that the Cabinet's forecast of a 10-12-percent inflation was quite realistic.
