The Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RSPP) and the General Confederation of Italian Industry (Confindustria) will hold a conference entitled 'Russia - Italy 2003: Industrial and Investment Cooperation' in Milan on April 3-4. According to the RSPP's public relations department, one of the main topics of the conference will be the role of small and medium-sized business in developing Russian-Italian industrial and investment cooperation.
It is planned that the investment climate and opportunities for direct investment in innovational and new technologies, transport, logistics, light industry, printing, aircraft production, the timber and timber-processing industries, construction, the fuel and energy sector, and machine-building will be discussed during the meeting.
The Russian delegation will be headed by RSPP president Arkady Volsky. The forums events will feature RSPP board members Vladimir Yevtushenkov (Sistema investment fund), Andrei Kostin (Vneshtorgbank), and Yuri Sukhin (Association of International Hauliers). It is also planned that Georgy Poltavchenko, the Russian presidential envoy to the Central Federal District, and Ilya Yuzhanov, the Minister for Anti-Monopoly Policy and Business Support, will give papers at the conference.
