The World Bank is going to release $400,000 in grants to the Russian Transport Ministry for promoting the reform of public transportation in Russia, Director of the Transinvest state company of the Transport Ministry Viktor Berezin reported today. According to him, a group of specialists of the World Bank has arrived in Moscow for holding negotiations with the Ministry on organizing the system of sharing experience of reforming public transportation in Russian cities. As Berezin reported, the resources the bank is planning to allocate will be used for organizing distance training of representatives of Russian regional and city authorities, and transportation specialists.
