The Sistema financing corporation reports that Russian company 'Research Centre' Concern and Czech company STROM telecom have completed their merger into a new holding known as KNTs.
KNTs designs, develops and manufactures microelectronic products, industrial electronics, telecommunications equipment and modern household technology. The new holding's headquarters will be in Zelenograd. KNTs also includes enterprises in Voronezh and Prague.
'Research Centre' Concern is a research and production complex specializing in microelectronics and electronic technology. The concern was created by the Sistema financial corporation in 1997. Among other projects, the concern is carrying out a programme developed with the McKinsey consulting company to create a Russian umbrella brand in household technology, which trades under the Sitronic brand name.
STROM telecom is a telecommunications company producing a wide range of modern communication equipment. The company was established in 1993 and has a number of representative offices and subsidiaries, based mainly in Central and Eastern Europe.
