Gazprom stocks gained more than 18 percent since January 27. This was mainly prompted by growing world gas prices. In addition, investors' optimism about the outlooks for the restructuring of RAO Unified Energy System of Russia added to this tendency. Experts say, shares of the Russian gas monopolist are likely to show negative dynamics in the mid-term perspective. Possible changes in the energy industry may pull the money from Gazprom stocks. Investors will probably feel worried about the possibility that a scenario similar to the one that happened with RAO UES stocks in 2000-2002 will repeat again.
