Gazprombank releases 2002 financial results

Gazprombank's balance sheet profit amounted to 3.4bn rubles (about $107m) in 2002, which was 3.1 times higher than in 2001. The bank's assets grew by 34.1 percent to 163.3bn rubles ($5.13bn). The bank's own capital amounted to 25.9bn rubles ($814m) at the beginning of 2003, which was 18.2 percent more than at the beginning of 2002, the press service of the bank reported.

The volume of credits given to enterprises and organizations last year was 73.9bn rubles ($2.3bn).

The bank's capital according to International Accounting Standards was $848m as of October 1, 2002.
