The Russian atomic energy agency Rosenergoatom is considering the possibility of signing long-term contracts for supplies of electricity to some aluminum companies, Rosenergoatom Executive Director Sergey Ivanov announced at a news conference in Moscow today. He explained they considered such long-term contracts economically beneficial, as these contracts would allow for the attraction of credits to implement the agency's investment program. Ivanov noted that such contracts could not be reached now due to the absence of necessary legislation. Not long ago, Rosenergoatom set up a taskforce to implement these plans together with representatives of aluminum companies.
