The Russian military garrison in the Kaliningrad Region does not represent any threat to Europe. According to the Baltic Fleet's press service, this is the conclusion reached by an international military inspection team headed by French Major Didier Pez which spent three days in the region. 'We visited several detachments of the Baltic Fleet and nowhere, absolutely nowhere, did we find anything outlawed by the Vienna Document on military activity,' said Pez. 'Russia is fully meeting her international obligations here.'
Meanwhile, the guests drew attention to the high level of war readiness of the marine corps, which are commanded by lieutenant colonel Vasily Morozkin. 'This is an example of Europe's finest detachments,' they acknowledged.
