Pyatigorsk School Children to Enjoy Free Year-Round Bus and Tramway Rides

The City Duma of Pyatigorsk, a well-known resort center in the Russian North Caucasian region, has taken a decision on free-of-charge bus and tramway rides for school children throughout 2003. By this, among other actions, they mark the 200th birthday of the Caucasian Mineralnye Vody group of neighboring resort centers nearby the well-known spas.

In Russia Pyatigorsk is viewed as the homeland of vehicles on electric traction, tramways. The popular resort was the first Russian city where this kind of transport appeared before the October revolution.
