Transportation Minister to retire from Aeroflot Board of Directors

Russian Transportation Minister Sergey Frank is planning to retire from the Boards of Directors of Sovkomflot and Aeroflot. He voiced his plans at today's news conference devoted to the results of work of the transportation industry in 2002. According to the minister, his participation in adopting decisions in companies that are not state monopolies and that are working in the competitive sector may create conflicting situations. The corresponding proposals will be included on the agendas of the next meetings of shareholders' of these companies.
