The air traffic controllers of the Zapsibaeronavigatsiya division have resumed their work. As chairman of the Novosibirsk regional Air Traffic Controllers' Union Aleksei Trifonov said, they stopped their hunger strike, which began on December 23rd, on Wednesday evening when it became known about the agreement reached between the leadership of the Russian Transport Ministry and the Federation of the Air Traffic Controllers' Unions.
He also pointed out that some of the participants in the action (altogether seventy people took part in the strike) are being examined by doctors now and need a medical aid. However, the majority of the air traffic controllers have undergone a pre-shift medical examination and, thus, can start working.
The abstractor of the director general of the Airport Tolmachevo joint stock company, Nadezhda Chekalova, said that at the present time the airport was operating in a usual regime, no flights were delayed. The day before, according to her, the airport experienced difficulties, because only the Aeroflot company took care of its passengers - provided then with hot meals and accommodated in a hotel. "However, the care of the rest approximately 400 passengers whose flights had been delayed had to be shouldered by our airport," pointed out Nadezhda Chekalina.
