Russia's second-largest car manufacturer GAZ and Italian Fiat Auto have developed a project for the joint manufacture of D class cars based on the Fiat Stilo model at GAZ' facilities, GAZ Deputy General Director for Strategic Development Leonid Dolgov reported. Dolgov said that the project was now under consideration by the owners of the two companies.
The new project envisages the production of 100,000 cars per year. If approved, the project will require investments of about $200 million, the Russia Journal reported.
