Lithuanians See Yukos, Gazprom, and LUKoil as Threat to Sovereignty

Around 43% of Lithuanians do not regard Russia as a threat. According to Rosbalt's correspondent, this statistic was produced by the latest Lithuanian opinion poll. The poll was carried out in November by the Vilmorus public opinion research centre. 24% of respondents believe that investments in the Lithuanian energy industry by Russian companies Yukos, Gazprom, and LUKoil are a threat to Lithuania's sovereignty. This opinion is mainly held by supporters of conservative parties. According to the poll, one third of Lithuanians do not have a firm opinion on relations between Lithuania and Russia. Over 1,000 people took part in the poll.
