Itera pays off its current debts to Gazprom

Itera has officially informed Gazprom that it has paid off the current debts for transportation of its gas to Ukraine. At the same time Itera has not received Gazprom's notification on resuming the previous volume of gas supplies to Ukraine, the press service of Itera told RosBusinessConsulting.

As it was reported earlier, on November 25, 2002 Gazprom cut Itera's gas suppliers to Ukraine by 50 percent. However, the company did not take necessary measures aimed at paying off the debts. As a result, Gazprom decided to increase restrictions on Itera's gas supplies to 65 percent.
