Russian Deputy PM Valentina Matviyenko and Moscow Mayor Yury Luzhkov will represent Russia's interests at the 132nd meeting of the General Assembly of the International Exhibition Bureau in Monaco, RTR television reported. The Deputy PM was quoted as saying she hoped Russia would win the competition for holding EXPO-2010.
The country that will host EXPO-2010 will be defined on December 3 by voting between representatives of 89 countries within the International Exhibition Bureau. Apart from Russia, other participants of the competition are China, South Korea, Mexico and Poland.
