Emergency fire situation persists in 14 districts of Moscow region

On September 13 the fire emergency situation persisted in 14 districts ofthe Moscow region. The total fire area is 271.8 acres, the press service ofthe Russian Defense Ministry reported. 560 servicemen and 77 units ofequipment of the Russian Defense Ministry are currently involved inextinguishing fires. As a result of the ministry's efforts, fires have beencrimped in eight districts of the Moscow region. The Moscow regionservicemen's major efforts have been focused on military objects of theNoginsk district. The results of airplane reconnaissance showed that therewere no open fires. Peat fires are currently burning in 12 districts of theregion. .
