Prosecution officers to be protected by law

Today, State Duma deputies adopted the federal law on the prosecutor'soffice of the Russian Federation on the third and final reading. Accordingto the document, prosecutors and crime investigators as representatives ofstate authorities are especially protected by the state. At the same time,their close relatives are also under protection. In exceptionalcircumstances, other persons can be protected whose life, health andproperty are trespassed in order to hamper legal activities of prosecutorsand crime investigators, or to make them change the nature of theseactivities, or to avenge the mentioned activities.
