Cabinet considers measures to support domestic film industry

The volume of Russian movies on the domestic film distribution marketshould increase to 20 percent by 2006, Russian Prime Minister MikhailKasyanov announced at a Cabinet meeting today. The meeting was devoted tomeasures on state support to the domestic film industry. Kasyanov notedthat the attendance rate of cinemas in Russia had doubled over the pastthree years, however, all cinemas are "filled with foreign films".
