Gov't to consider grain market development next week

Next week the Russian government is planning to consider the issue ofdeveloping the agrarian and industrial sector and the grain market. As theGovernment Information Department reported to RosBusinessConsulting, at thetraditional meeting of Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Kasyanov with RussianDeputy Prime Ministers and key ministers the progress of gathering graincrops was discussed. It was pointed out 64 percent of the total area ofgrain fields had been harvested as of today, which is equal to 70m tons ofgrain. Additionally, 350,000 tons of grain was gathered in Chechnya. It wasalso pointed out at the meeting it was the best result in many years,including the Soviet period. .
