Mayor of Veliky Novgorod dies in traffic accident

Alexander Korsunov, Mayor of Veliky Novgorod, died in a car accident lastnight. It happened in the Novgorod district of the region at 22:25, thepress service of the regional administration reported. The acting head ofthe regional department of the Interior Ministry, the prosecutor of theNovgorod region, the head of the regional traffic police department andinvestigators have already visited the place of the accident. The causesand circumstances of the accident are being investigated. A criminal casehas been initiated. .
