Irkutsk region to inject $500m in its economy

This year the Irkutsk region intends to attract about $500m for itseconomy, and the major part of this amount will be reinvestments by localenterprises, Alexander Sukhodolov, head of the economic analysis andforecast committee of the Irkutsk regional administration, told journaliststoday. Economic growth was registered at a level of 9.7 percent in theIrkutsk region in the first six months of 2002.
