Special aviation will be used by the Russian Emergencies Ministry in order to extinguish forest fires in the Moscow region. According to the information, given on Wednesday by the Russian Emergencies Ministry, Ilyushin Il-76 airplane, carrying 42 metric tons of water and Mikoyan Mi-8 helicopter, carrying 5 metric tons of water, will take off from Ramenskoye airport in order to eliminate fires. First volumes of water will be poured on fires in the Shatura and Pavlovo-Posad districts of the Moscow region.
Moreover, a helicopter Po-105 will take off for fire reconnaissance from the air. Control of actions, concerning forest fires elimination, will also be conducted from board the helicopter, the Russian Emergencies Ministry reported.
