Putin to participate in Tatarstan Day celebration

Russian President Vladimir Putin who arrived in Kazan (Tatarstan)yesterday, will take part in the celebration of the Day of the Republic ofTatarstan and will hold a meeting on preparation of celebrating the 1000thanniversary of the capital of the republic. The Russian leader is alsoplanning to meet with heads and delegates of the third conference of theWorld Tatar Congress.The visit to Kazan will complete a week trip of the President acrossRussia, during which he also visited Vladivostok, Chita and the Kemerovoregion. Today, the Russian leader is planning to return to Moscow.Putin arrived in Kazan on August 29.
