President Vladimir Putin of Russia has met fishers of the Maritime Territory in the Vladivostok suburbs.
According to RIA Novosti's source in the Presidential administration, the Russian leader took such a decision on a request of Sergei Darkin, the Governor of the Maritime Territory, and having taken into account the grave condition ordinary fishers were in following the privatisation of many fishing companies.
The source also reported that at the meeting the sides touched on the negative impact of the aforesaid process and stressed that "it is highly not recommended to present the meeting with the President as a PR action."
