Russians support United Russia, Communists and LD

The Yedinaya Rossiya (Unified Russia), the Communist Party and the LiberalDemocratic Party of Russia (LD) would surpass the 5-percent level,mustering 28, 21 and 7 percent respectively, if the elections to the StateDuma took place next Sunday. These are the results of an opinion poll, heldby the Public Opinion Foundation in 100 inhabited locations of 44 regionsand republics of the Russian Federation on August 17-18, 2002. 1,500respondents participated in the poll. According to it, Yabloko wouldreceive 4 percent, the Union of Right Forces (SPS) - 3 percent and theAgrarians - 2 percent of votes.
