A motor race of the AvtoVAZ company is to start in Blagoveshchensk, the Far East, on Tuesday.
In two weeks the participants are to cover 3,500 km and to visit Birobijan, Khabarovsk, Komsomolsk-on-Amur, Spassk-Dalny, and Ussuriysk, the plant's press service reported. The race will finish on August 26th in Vladivostok, the centre of the Maritime territory.
The cities en route will host automobile exhibitions, test drives for journalists and press conferences.
Like all other AvtoVAZ public activities this year, the Far East motor race is held under the motto "Niva: 25 years on the world's roads".
The participants will drive both old and modern versions of Nivas, including the VIS-2346 pickup, based on the front-drive VAZ-2109 model.
