In 2002, Severstal's Steel Supplies to Fiat Will More Than Tripple
In 2002, steel supplies from the Vologda Region's Severstal plant to Fiat auto makers will grow by 350% on the year to 10,000 tonnes. This is according to the Severstal's press service.
Fiat uses highly pliable grades of steel fit for die-forging parts of complicated configurations and etched hot-rolled items. At this time, the two companies are negotiating the possible supplies of Russian steel to joint companies the Fiat is a party to in third countries.
