Two WWII munitions have been discovered in St. Petersburg in the past 24 hours, the press service of the Main Department for Civil Defence and Emergencies of St. Petersburg reported on Tuesday.
Both munitions, 87-mm and 100-mm shells, were discovered in the Pavlovsk-Pushkin administrative district of St. Petersburg.
The dangerous finds were taken away to be destroyed by combat engineers of the Leningrad military district.
On Monday, the discovery of a suspicious object resembling a WWII air bomb was reported in the Kirovsky district of St. Petersburg. An expertise proved that vigilant citizens had taken a harmless gas-bag for a bomb.
