Russia's minimal food basket dwindles in late July

In late July the cost of the minimal food basket on an average in Russia subsided by 0.2 per cent to 986.7 roubles in comparison with the middle of June, reports the State Statistical Committee.

The maximal cost of the food basket was in Anadyr (Chukotka): 2,875.1 roubles, minimal in Elista (Kalmykia) -- 761.3 roubles.

In Moscow the cost of the foods set during one month increased by 1.8 percent /11.9 percent since the start of this year/ to 1,276.6 roubles.

In St.Petersburg the food basket cost slipped by 1.2 percent /by 13.2 percent since the year start/ to 1,097.3 roubles.
