The north-European project to construct a gas pipeline along the floor of the Baltic Sea does not have any investors. According to Rosbalt's correspondent, Ivan Zolotov, the head of Gazprom's department of foreign ties, made this announcement on Tuesday at the 'Russian Energy Sector' conference in Moscow.
The gas pipeline is intended to run from the Leningrad Region to Germany along the Baltic Sea floor. 'The project will be agreed with the EU, Gazprom's partners, and investors,' said Zolotov. He suggested that the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development might be one of the investors. The Gazprom representative did not give any dates for the start of work on the project.
