Gazprom's board chairman Alexei Miller today signed a charter on creating and carrying out investment programmes. According to Gazprom's press service, this is the first time in the company's history that such a document has been developed.
The charter defines which programmes are priorities for Gazprom in the short and long terms. The first task is to raise funding for these projects. Gazprom believes that tighter control over resources will lead to a reduction in outgoings connected with its whole investment cycle.
The charter will also clearly coordinate the work of the company's subdivisions for developing and carrying out investment programmes and concrete projects. The document defines the time scales for their development and fulfillment, and also establishes which subdivisions are responsible for the work.
Alexei Miller placed responsibility for seeing that the charter is adhered to on Gazprom's department of construction and transport.
