Danes To Act In Northern Atlantic

The Danish Oil and Natural Gas Company has announced that it will expand its activities in the North Atlantic region, both west of the British Shetland Islands and east of the Faroe Islands. The British Islands seems to be very perspective and attractive for oil companies. So DONG also has joint permission to try and drill for oil in three more locations in the British region.

DONG is already a part of the Faroese Partnership, the oil consortium which struck oil in the Faroese underground last summer. DONG has now reached an agreement with Phillips to buy 20 percent of a drilling permit on the Faroe Islands.
