ChevronTexaco Calculates Losses
About 270,000 b/d of crude oil output and 1.3 Bcf/d of natural gas production had remained shut in after Hurricane Lili.
ChevronTexaco had begun reconnaissance flights of its offshore US Gulf of Mexico producing facilities in the wake of Hurricane Lili, and that it has engaged in "limited remobilization" of its workforce in the region.
The company also said that while personnel at subsidiary Sabine Pipeline at the Henry Hub gas distribution center in Louisiana were on location and working to restore operations, compressors there remained down because of an area-wide power outage.
