Surgutneftegaz will take part in the privatization of Belarusian petrochemical factories Naftan and Polimir only in the event the Belarusian government offers controlling stakes in these companies, General Director of Surgutneftegaz Vladimir Bogdanov announced in an interview. He noted that no-one was likely to buy blocks of shares in the Belarusian companies if 10-percent stakes were offered at the auction. He also stressed that fair prices would be another important factor for the participation of Surgutneftegaz in this privatization.
