The former Vice-President of the Conoco International Petroleum Company, Richard Carplus has been appointed head of the Department of Strategic Planning of LUKoil's, the largest oil company of Russia. This is according to LUKoil's press service.
'The appearance at LUKoil of such a large-scale professional as goes strategic planning', sad President of the oil company, Vagit Alekperov, 'will result in more clear-cut and clear to our stockholders and investors prospects of development'.
Richard Carplus graduated from the universities of Chicago and California State and Chicago Higher Business School. He has a masters degree in financing and international business. Mr. Carplus was a lecturer at the Higher Business School of Columbia University in New York. He was with Conoco International from 1979 until lately specializing in strategic planning as concerned prospecting and the financial analyses of projects.
