Russian Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Alexey Kudrin will meet with representatives of British financial, banking and business communities in London today. It is planned that Kudrin will inform British businessmen of the situation in Russian economy and outlooks for investments in Russia. The Deputy Prime Minister is expected to pay special attention to measures taken by the Russian government aimed at attracting capitals to Russia and improving business climate.
As it was reported earlier, a joint declaration on questions concerning investment collaboration was signed at the sixth session of the Russian-British committee for trade and investments, which was held yesterday, Gennady Yezhov, press secretary of the Finance Minister, declared. In particular, the document stipulates positions of the two countries regarding investment collaboration and defines priorities of cooperation, including in the energy, informational technologies and telecommunication sectors, aviation and shipbuilding, chemistry, the petrochemical, food and timber industries, finances and services.
