Russian President Vladimir Putin had a meeting with Yevgeny Shvidler, head of the Russian oil company Sibneft, today. The president's press secretary reported this was one of the meetings of the President with representatives of large Russian businesses. Among other issues, Putin and Shvidler discussed the possible expansion of Russian oil exports.
The press secretary of Sibneft reported to RBC that Shvidler had informed the President about Sibneft's participation in a number of big international projects, plans for the development of the company's production capacity and plans regarding the Moscow region.
Putin and Shvidler also considered the sale of a 74.95-percent stake in the Slavneft state oil company and the Sibneft head confirmed that his company would take part in this privatization.
