Vladimir Kalitin, President of the Russian diamond monopolist ALROSA, who is heading the Russian delegation during a visit to Angola, has signed three collaboration agreements with the leadership of the Angolan national diamond company Endiama, ALROSA's press service reported. The Angolan side has attached special importance to the agreement providing training of Angolan personnel at ALROSA factories in Russia.
President of Angola Jose Eduardo dos Santos held negotiations with Kalitin and stressed that his country was interested in ALROSA's projects in this country, especially the construction of a hydroelectric power station in Angola. The officials stated their mutual interest in the development of economic collaboration between Angola and ALROSA.
The ALROSA President also had meetings with the Angolan Minister of Geology and the Mining Industry. The latter welcomed ALROSA's efforts for the development of new projects in Angola.
